Over the course of the coming school year, we need parent volunteers to assist with a variety of activities and events. It takes over 300 volunteers to make our events a success! WE NEED YOU! Keep in contact with your homeroom teacher regarding class parties and class needs. Plan class parties with other parents. Coordinate the sign up for the grade level teacher luncheon the month that you are assigned. Arrange something special for your teacher for his/her birthday. Keep in contact with the Hospitality Chairpersons regarding Teacher Appreciate Week. One or two room parents needed for each class.
This is a kindergarten enrichment program that occurs everyday (M-F) from 7:30 – 8:15 am in the gym beginning in September. Assist with setup and take down of equipment and monitoring students. 2 to 3 volunteers needed each day.
Fall Festival Planning Committee
The Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, November 4th from 10 am to 3 pm. Planning begins as soon as school starts. We need a minimum of 10 people for this committee to help plan the events of the day including games, prizes, concessions and vendor booths.
Fall Festival Day Of Volunteers
We will need many volunteers on Saturday, November 4th, from 10 am to 3pm, to help with set up, take down, working game stations, helping with concessions, etc.
Silent Auction Committee
The Silent Auction is part of the Fall Festival. We need a minimum of 10 people to being requesting donations from business as soon as school starts. Silent auction committee members will also help setup the auction the afternoon/evening before the Fall Festival – Friday November 3rd.
Volunteers to work the AR Bookstore where students shop and spend the AR points they have earned from reading books and taking AR tests. AR Bookstores are held during the school day at the end of each 9 weeks, normally on a Tuesday and Wednesday.
Take pictures and submit for the yearbook. Help design and layout yearbook pages.
Assist with planning the Spring Fundraiser. Last year it was Otis Cookie Dough and Yankee Candles. Sorting and distributing the orders. After Spring Break.
Teacher Appreciation Week Committee
Assist with planning and coordinating activities for Teacher Appreciation Week.
Decorate Lobby Display Case
Decorate the lobby display case for different school events and holidays.
Volunteers are needed to set up, take down and work a shift at the concession stand for the outdoor movie night(s).
Assist in planning Science Nights.
Assist the Rewards Team with collecting, counting, and submitting Box Tops anbd Tyson Project A+ labels. Promote the Kroger Community Rewards, Publix Partners, and Amazon Smiles programs. Help with contests.
Assist with sorting and distributing t-shirt and other spirit wear orders a couple times throughout the year.
The Kids Rock Marathon will be held on Sunday April 30, at LP Field. Marathon practice is every day after school beginning when we return from Spring Break. volunteers needed to assist Lakeview’s PE Teacher with practice, event day activities, and sorting and handing out racing bibs and t-shirts.
Dance Planning Committee
The school dance this year will be held in March. The committee will begin meeting in January to plan.
Dance Day of Volunteers
Volunteers will be needed the day of the dance to decorate, take tickets, work concessions, and help clean up.
5th Grade Day
Volunteers will be needed to assist with planning and coordinating activities for 5th grade day. This day that will occur in May to celebrate Lakeview’s current 5th graders before they transition to the middle school.
